To Be or Not To Be Social, A Tale of Privatization and Communism

Living with flatmates has this test: having to socialize even when one doesn't feel like to. Now I am not telling about socializing with flatmates themselves. I mean when flatmates bring guests, and I mean it when flatmates keep bringing guests all the time. It is not effortlessly that sometimes one meets other people. And there are times in which it would be a real pain to meet another flatmate's guest.

The intruding party is naturally logistically painful. Now one cannot use the kitchen, now there is a temporary privatization of the common Lebensraum of the Wohnungsgemeinshaft. But now is precisely when I am hungry and want to cook!!!

To avoid this invasive privatization, the solution is to head to the nearest Communist local center, the fabulous Casa del Popolo di Fiesole. There the food is cheap and good and the atmosphere is joyful. And, hopefully, there are no strange flatmate's guests.
